Marine Corps Vet Launches Fashtech Startup Servpal.Com, An Online Marketplace For Image Experts

Startup founder Andy Nevers launches beta version of fashion technology website which seeks to boost business, accessibility, and popularity for diverse image professionals

WASHINGTON, Dec. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Today Servpal, a new online marketplace for image professionals and their clients, announced the launch of the beta version of its new website www.Servpal.com. Servpal allows users to search for a vast array of image pros including image consultants, fashion stylists, personal shoppers, fashion designers, bespoke tailors, personal branding consultants, and beauty specialists. Conceived and created by unlikely fashion technology startup entrant Andy Nevers, a Marine Corps veteran and the Founder and CEO, Servpal aims to help image pros organize and promote their business while making image pros more desirable and accessible for women and men. Phase two of the site will launch in 2015 after a crowdfunding campaign.

"Everyone needs a friend who is an image pro. At Servpal, we call them 'image pro pals.' Whether seeking a promotion at work, travelling, vacationing, attending a special event or upgrading one's personal style, everyone should consider hiring an expert image pro to assist them. We're making it easier to find and hire one," said Nevers.

The beta version of Servpal allows users to search for image pros based on criteria such as name, location, and service offering. Signing up as a client allows one to hire a pro through the website. When signing up as an image pro, one can list a business and customize a searchable profile. Upcoming site enhancements include online merchant payments, shared calendars, client ratings and recommendations, instant messaging, video conferencing, robust search capabilities, and more. Servpal intends to operate on a paid subscription plan for image pros in the near future and for a nominal fee. The company is offering limited-time free membership for image pros who sign up for the service.

Servpal.com features notable image pros on the homepage of its website. Image pros such as Grant Harris of Image Granted, Valerie Halfon of Shop with Val, Emmelie de la Cruz of The Branding Muse, Teresa Foss-Del Rosso of DC Elite Image, Lori Johnson of Your Best Image, Lindsay Wasiljov of Styled by Lindsay, Kaheshia JaNyne of TrueLove Entertainment, and Anthony Clayburn II of ViciVisions Image Consulting represent the charter cohort of Servpal image pros.

"We want business to be great for image pros, always. We want people to look good and feel good about themselves and know it's attainable with help from professionals who are masterful and consider it an art. We also want to grow and work with great creative people and savvy partners, and we're hoping crowdfunding can get us to that next level." Nevers said.
